In November 2017 Snow Cannon organized the first Cuvete exhibition in Aveiro, Portugal. Our goal for the Cuvete exhibitions is to create a meeting point for artists from different backgrounds and cultures to share their work with the public of smaller cities where contemporary art is usually absent.

            Through Cuvete we try to provide artists with new opportunities to present their work and see it side by side with works from other artists which might have quite distinct aesthetical and artistic positions. Hopefully this artistic diversity will give the artists renewed points of view on their work, as well as, generate possible dialogues between them for the future.

            Cuvete also desires to put these artists and their work available to new audiences, to a public which is usually distant from big museums and influential or famous galleries. By enabling this we strive to bring new ideas and artistic reflection especially to a younger public, which in its turn might become inspired to art.
